Jesus Christ Has the Power to Heal
Almost everyone gets sick or hurt. Sometimes this can be taken care of at home, sometimes we have to go to the doctor or hospital. There is another way we can be helped--by the power of the priesthood.
When Jesus Christ was on the earth, he healed the sick. He healed Jairus's daughter. Jairus had great faith and believed that if Jesus came and blessed his daughter, she would get well. When Jesus arrived at Jairus's home, people thought his daughter was dead. Jesus took the girl by the hand and told her to arise. The girl got up from her bed, completely well again.
Today, men who hold the Melchizedek priesthood can give blessings just like Jesus could in His day. When Jessica arrived home from school, her father met her at the door and told her that her new baby brother was born that morning, but he had been born early and was very tiny and weak and might not live more than a few hours.
Jessica's father called one of their home teachers to help him give the baby a blessing. Jessica's father and home teacher gently placed their hands on the new baby's head and Jessica's father blessed him to live to fulfill his mission on earth. Jessica knew that because of the power of the priesthood, her little brother would grow and become strong.
We are thankful that Jesus has given righteous men the Melchizedek Priestood so they can bless us when we need special help.

Come, Follow Me
A little boy was walking with his father in the snow. The snow was deep and the boy was getting tired. The father told the little boy to follow him and step in his footsteps in the snow and then it wouldn't be so hard to walk in the deep snow. The boy did that and found it much easier to walk.
Just like the boy followed his father, we should follow Jesus Christ. Following Jesus will make our life easier because Jesus taught us how to live righteously.
We learned about Jesus calling some of his apostles. They were fishermen and caught fish to sell for their living. Jesus asked them to follow him and be "fishers of men". That means they would teach people and gather them together to follow Jesus. They immediately left their fishing business and became apostles to Jesus Christ.
We read scriptures that told us what Jesus wants us to do:
Jesus wants us to Keep the Commandments
Jesus wants us to Love One Another
Jesus wants us to Follow Him (Come Follow Me)
We will choose the right and follow Jesus Christ

Primary parents April 11
Today in class we learned about "Dare to Choose the Right". We learned how Rex Pinegar took a dare as a kid to run across the road with a car coming and he was hit! He was ok, but he knows it was the wrong decision. He advises us to make right choices. We learned how Jesus was tempted by Satan after he had fasted 40 days and nights. Jesus dared to Choose the Right. He made the right decisions. We should always try to be like Jesus and do what He would want us to do.
Grand Canyon
Saturday Tom and I drove to the north rim of the Grand Canyon by going straight south from St. George. It was abut 100 miles of dirt road round trip. It was fun to do ONCE in a lifetime! DO NOT go there with kids! There are no barriers to stop you from falling 1000's of feet down! I wouldn't even go close to the edge. I'm terrified of dropoffs!
